Field notes
Notes from a fourteen-day product launch with Quill Letters.
Quill Letters needed to go from beta to public launch in fourteen days. Here's how we structured the sprint.
Week one — freeze scope
We locked MVP scope on day one: one core flow, one pricing page, one onboarding email sequence. Everything else went to a post-launch backlog.
Week two — ship and learn
Design and engineering ran in parallel with daily async reviews. We shipped to staging on day 10, fixed critical bugs on days 11–12, and launched on day 14.
What we'd repeat
- A single written "not doing" list shared with stakeholders
- Design tokens frozen before high-fidelity UI
- One person accountable for launch checklist
